About Us
Hiyah! my name is Claina and I’ve been hooked on papercrafting for 20 years now after receiving a beautiful handmade card one Birthday.
Shortly after I started cardmaking, I taught myself how to design SVG files. I started a blog (birdscards.com) to freely share my SVGs with other crafters and eventually an online SVG store (birdssvgs.com). Over time I was approached to design craft products for other companies and later launched my own physical craft range (Claina Palmer Designs)
In an attempt to bring SVG sized projects to crafters who love to die cut. I am so proud to have brought 3 brand new and unique concepts to creating 3D projects:
- The ‘Link em’ system*, enabling dies to be made in sections and link together to create much larger projects at a much lower cost
- Using Nesting Dies as part of construction removing the need to sell and continually resell basic shapes to you
- Using pdfs for accurate die placement
Using these 3 ideas, I have been able to offer projects to die cutters on a much larger scale that was previously only available to SVG users.

*The Link ‘em system initially took 18 months to create using 2 different manufacturers as nothing like it had been made before. The first manufacturer had to remake 30,000 pieces as they struggled with something so new. It took a further 2 years to perfect and will always be original to Claina Palmer Designs.
